Connecting Point...a chance to get together, have fun and do something you enjoy...together.
Here are our current Connecting Points. Have more ideas, or want to see a new Connecting Point? Contact us with questions or suggestions. Call 904-777-1238 or email Ministry Pastor Hal Hunter at the church during office hours.
Golf with the Guys
Golfers of all skill levels are welcome to play. Outings are usually held each month on Saturdays or Sundays. This is a great way to get to know more men of the congregation in a casual social setting. We play a team format, allowing fellowship and friendly competition without prizes. You don't have to be a good player, just make yourself available and have some fun.
Advance sign up is required. To get on the contact list call coordinator Scott Tallon at 904-786-3897, or email him at scotttallon@thechurchatargyle.org. Watch the weekly Argyle Connection for upcoming play dates and details.
The Argyle Angels – Riding with Pastor Rick Painter
Rick is a rider – motorcycle rider that is. He loves to get away on a nice morning and ride on some of our back roads. Riders and their spouses are encouraged to enjoy the fun. Email Rick Painter for information or to get on the Argyle Angels email list.
Argyle Cancer Connection
Cancer survivors and their families find support and information. Oncology nurse and cancer educator Wendy Holt leads a monthly session to help those impacted by cancer. For more information email Wendy Holt.
Grief Share
Led by Becky Dyal and Donna Painter, this group helps people through the grieving that follows a loss. Anyone who has suffered a loss and wishes to share their burden with others – who wishes to help and be helped – is welcome to attend. The group meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm. Sign up in the Welcome Center, or email questions to Becky and Donna.
Divorce Care
The Argyle JaxDivorceCare group is for anyone experiencing divorce or separation at any level, whether it has been a while or at the beginning stages. One of our leaders is Dr. Paul Campbell, a behavioral therapist, author of three books and popular convention speaker. We meet monthly in the Argyle Café, plus enjoy other exciting activities together. We talk, share, support and have fun. Contact James Turner for more information.
There are many other events happening regularly at Argyle including Bunco Nights, Family Movie nights, and more. Check back often for more ways to connect. Hope to see you soon.
